C is for collar

20160731_203226.jpgI was experimenting with crochet techniques, but how to use them? Maybe a collar, then all I’ll have to do is make a sweater to put them on.

Happy penguins

Three pairs of trunks to be delivered.

I’ve praised these before and I’ll do it again- and no, I’m just a happy customer.

The pattern can be found here, although make sure to be careful if you choose to download the pattern for reasons discussed before.

20160711_131439These are to be part of a street art project I’m working on.  I didn’t realize there were so many of them until I took them out of the bag to take a picture.

If life’s a bowl of cherries…

…why is it so damn hard to take a picture of a bra while I’m wearing it?

The perspective is really weird, but it’s finished at least, and not a minute too soon, since my old ones are literally falling apart. I made it in double fabrics, but the covering cherry print rips reaaaalllly easy, so don’t know for how long this one will be amongst the living.

20160711_111052I just recently learened a new crochet technique, waffle is the the translated word used in swedish.

It’s explained in swedish with pictures here and here

At last I can bring my mother-in -law some new potholders!

Contrasting colors

I really wanted to work with linen again, but all the pieces in my stash were too small it seemed. So the obvious solution of course was to combine them!

I used Burda 8754 which I’ve had for a long time, but never got around to use.

It worked out pretty well, the bust darts are a bit low for a change and I couldn’t really figure out how to hem the front pleats (no- sewing them together wasn’t the solution which I realized as I took the dress outside for photoshots:)

So today’s chore will be to re-hem the front. Don’t know if I can be bothered to move the darts, though.
